Artificial Intelligence brings new patent to Altice Labs

In practice, it is an invention that, when applied to the BOTSchool intelligent conversation platform - also developed by Altice's innovation laboratory - gives it the ability to process natural language (spoken and written), interpret what is being transmitted and identify intentions, in order to choose the best approach for each use case, and thus provide the most appropriate response to the user's request.

The patented technology was developed over the course of a year by a team of 20 employees from the Aveiro center, a team dedicated to developing all the technology that supports the advances of the BOTSchool platform.

It should be remembered that this platform, which has made assistance to MEO's customers faster and more effective due to the degree of precision implicit in its learning models, is now equipped with generative artificial intelligence. It is in this field of Artificial Intelligence that the same team is currently engaged in continuing to innovate and develop new tools.

Currently, Altice Labs has a total of 8 patents submitted in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing, areas that are the present, but also the future of technological development, because of what they promise to bring to society. With this new distinction, Altice Labs sees the scale and success of its R&D investment recognized and once again reinforces its leading position in the sector.
