MEO The Search by Samsung Galaxy Z returns to attract new talent

If in the first edition, MEO The Search presented itself as an innovative format due to the pandemic we were experiencing, where there was a total absence of physical events, now the innovative character that distinguishes all initiatives involving the MEO brand goes even further. MEO The Search brings a new mini-series format to the public. In this way, viewers will be able to follow the entire process of discovering the talent and artistic potential of the participants in a writing camp, in each episode, with the aim of enhancing their talent, not only in terms of music, but also in terms of composing and producing original songs.  

MIMICAT, NEEV and VIRGUL are the mentors of this second edition and will be responsible for helping the ten contestants, chosen through an online casting, and choosing the grand finalist. Camila Pereira, José Vargas, Catarina Santos, Matilde Pinho, Francisco Matos, Maria Eduarda Gomes, Gabriel Catana, Nicolau Almeida, Isaac Costa and Tiago Leite, only one will win and will have the opportunity to take their voice to a MEO festival later this year.  

In this second edition, MEO The Search by Samsung Galaxy Z takes place in an academy, where participants will be put to the test and develop their artistic skills in different areas related to music. From writing to making a music video, this format is the path to ascension that all the contestants will want to take. More than just a talent contest, this edition enables the creation of original songs for new artists.  

The show is divided into six episodes and will be broadcast once a week on the different MEO platforms - TV and Digital - and will then be available for those who want to watch and review the best moments of this edition.   

Over the course of the six weeks, the public will have the opportunity to see different stages of the competition.  

- Presentation of the judges and the finalists. 

- Writing Camp by MEO - the ten participants create original songs. 

- Auditions - demonstration of the original song, sung by eight contestants. 

- Duets by Mitsubishi Motors - six finalists will perform a duet, showing their team spirit. 

- Music video by Samsung - four finalists will have to create an original music video with the help of renowned directors. 

- Final by MEO - three finalists will present a medley of their original songs to the judges and a winner will be chosen.     

The big winner will win, in addition to a performance at a MEO festival, ten thousand euros in cards, a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G cell phone, two tickets to the MEO Summer Festivals at the wheel of a Mitsubishi ASX , a weekend in a Hotel for two people by MITSUBISHI MOTORS and 12 months of MEO service. 

As the main sponsor of the project for the second year running, the MEO brand aims to strengthen its positioning in the music sector and take this culturally enriching initiative in an original format across borders.
