Through three characters designed with AI, and curated by humans, SAPO brings voters, in the run-up to the Legislative elections on March 10, a matrix of questions through which it is possible to get to know and deconstruct the programs of the 8 political parties/coalitions with parliamentary seats.
Catraio, an innocent 5-year-old child, Piadolas, a humorist and biting critic, and Velho do Restelo, a grumpy and pessimistic man, are the characters who will analyze the different proposals and give a quick response, also generated by AI, thus mapping the main issues of current national affairs.
From education to health, from the environment to justice, from employment to the economy, the topics covered by POL(AI)TÓLOGOS are wide-ranging, in an approach that aims to combine the usefulness of the information in question with the humor that is present in the caricature-like way in which political characters, programs and arguments are presented.
POL(AI)TÓLOGOS will also have an interaction component with readers and their communities on social networks, where the cards generated with each answer can be shared.
The platform -
https://www.sapo.pt/polaitologos - is housed in SAPO's special dossier "Legislativas 2024", which is now available, with news, fact-checks, opinion articles and interviews published in an ecosystem of more than 150 SAPO partners.
On March 10, the largest Portuguese-language news aggregator will have a reinforced editorial team dedicated to covering all the developments, observing reality from a distance and commenting closely on the unfolding of yet another decisive date for the country's destiny.
As the largest player in the aggregation, production and curation of digital content and assets in Portugal, SAPO is seeking to make a relevant contribution to a more informed, enlightened and participatory society at yet another significant moment in Portuguese news.
