The initiative is part of the MEO Música Com Sentido project, which has been focusing on accessibility at events supported by the brand, reinforcing its solid commitment to social causes. Carolina Deslandes and Diogo Clemente have been composing some of the most relevant songs in the Portuguese contemporary songbook, and now these works will be available in another of our country's three official languages - Portuguese sign language.
The stage component of the show "Me and Him" will also be audio-described on these two evenings. In order to guarantee the visibility of the interpretation in Portuguese sign language, Deaf people are advised to buy tickets on the left-hand side of the room. Visually impaired people can buy tickets for any sector, they just need to send an e-mail to info@oittoagencia.com asking for instructions on how to activate the app where they can follow the audio description at the concerts.
MEO launched the Música Com Sentido initiative in 2024 and has consistently been a driving force behind accessibility and inclusion at concerts and music festivals, guaranteeing essential resources for people with physical, visual, deaf and neurodivergent disabilities. This has been the brand's path for many years and has been consolidated and reinforced through Música Com Sentido, successfully implemented at the MEO Marés Vivas and MEO Kalorama festivals. Around this continuous commitment, a real movement has been created that also mobilizes artists, having already passed through the MEO Arena, at Bárbara Tinoco's concert, and now reaching the Coliseums, with Carolina Deslandes and Diogo Clemente.
Their project, now called "Me and Him", began simply, in a hostel kitchen and a small library, but quickly evolved into something bigger with the release of the album "home". This work marked the beginning of a trajectory that led the artist to conquer the big stages. This unique work can now be enjoyed in two of Portugal's most emblematic concert halls. Carolina Deslandes recently released her new single "Eu Deixei". The song comes ahead of the release of her next album, scheduled for 2025.
Humanization is one of the pillars that underpins MEO's operations, and the brand is committed to continuing initiatives that promote values of equality and inclusion in culture as well. With the aim of guaranteeing access to music for all and humanizing the experience of these live shows, MEO is also consolidating its position as a brand of causes.
This initiative is the result of a joint effort between Access Lab, a company dedicated to ensuring inclusive access to culture and entertainment, MEO, which is reinforcing its positioning as a brand for causes, and the agencies Sons em Trânsito, which manages Carolina Deslandes' career, and Oitto, the agency responsible for the artist's branding, joining forces to promote inclusion and accessibility at the Lisbon and Porto Coliseums.
