Technology and music go hand in hand at the MEO Kalorama Festival

- 5TBof traffic on the mobile network and 4TB on the Wi-Fi network
- 5G network traffic represents 35% of total event traffic
- 100,000 minutes of voice calls

In order to offer music lovers all the conditions for an unforgettable experience, MEO reinforced the festival's infrastructure by installing 12 km of fiber optic network, thus guaranteeing Wi-Fi coverage throughout the venue. In terms of the mobile network, 2G, 4G and 5G networks were also reinforced throughout the venue.

In Lisbon's Bela Vista Park, around 9 terabytes of traffic were generated on the MEO network, through mobile internet access and Wi-Fi. In terms of the mobile network, it is important to highlight the 5G network traffic, which accounted for 35% of the event's total traffic. In addition, the public also made 100,000 minutes of voice calls on the MEO network.

The technological success of the operation was due to the commitment of around 100 MEO technicians, who were responsible for setting up and monitoring all the infrastructures.

MEO has been demonstrating that music is an important territory in the brand's strategy, making its proximity to the various audiences a reality through its presence at various festivals from the north to the south of the country and the islands, as well as at national music events. This has been the brand's way of expressing itself, getting closer to and engaging with the public, as well as an opportunity to provide happy emotions and memories to all Portuguese people. A unique presence and involvement that grants a distinction in music like no other brand has done so far.

Consolidated as one of the summer festivals most acclaimed by the public, the second edition of MEO Kalorama was attended by 105,000 people over the three days and demonstrated its ability to unite the community around music and culture.

MEO Kalorama returns on August 29, 30 and 31, 2024, with lots of music, art and sustainability. As one of the festivals most cherished and awaited by the public, the 3rd edition is expected to be, once again, a success across borders.
