Altice Portugal welcomes 125 young people to the DarWiN trainee program

Since the first edition in 2019, more than 230 trainees have been recruited for the DarWIN program, integrated into different departments of Altice Portugal. Of this total, more than 80 young people have stayed with the company after completing their experience in this program. The number is representative of the operator's commitment to young talent and to rejuvenating its staff, as well as to the development and growth of future professionals in our country.

At a time when the electronic communications sector is facing multiple challenges, the knowledge, experience and motivation of these young people are an excellent contribution to overcoming them and ensuring the success of Altice's operation in Portugal. With the DarWIN program, Altice Portugal aims to attract young people who will contribute to the company's operations through their enthusiasm, willingness to learn and total availability to apply and exploit their talents in the leading electronic communications company in Portugal.

Considered a professional experience that goes far beyond ordinary 12-month trainee programs, the DarWiN program presents itself as an opportunity to acquire and consolidate knowledge. Through training sessions, workshops and coaching sessions, young people can encounter challenges focused on people, sustainability, business and community.
The young people in this edition, whose vacancies have tripled compared to previous editions, have degrees in a wide range of areas, such as Engineering, Information Technology, Management, Economics, among others, and come from institutions such as Instituto Superior Técnico, ISEG, ISCTE, Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics, Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal, Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto and Universidade da Beira Interior.

For the coming years, Altice Portugal intends to rejuvenate its human capital, invest in new generations and new skills in order to respond to market demands. These objectives were announced by the company in February of this year, when it presented its 2023-2030 strategy, and reinforce the importance of people to the success of its operations in Portugal.
