MEO celebrates 15 years with Grand Prix awards

In its 15th anniversary year, MEO was once again distinguished for its creativity and effectiveness. At the Portuguese Association of Marketing Professionals (APPM) marketing awards event, MEO was called to the stage nine times - it received three bronze awards, one silver, three golds, was also voted "Brand of the Year" and saw its "Breaking Sirens" campaign, in partnership with Amnesty International, win the evening's Grand Prize.

This latest award mirrored what 2023 has been like. A year of great achievements for MEO. In just nine months, the number one Portuguese brand has already been recognized and awarded for its creativity, innovation and pioneering spirit in more than fifteen awards: Marketeer Awards (Telecommunications Award and Marketeer of the Year, for the 2nd time); Design, Communication, Marketing, Creativity Awards from Meios & Publicidade; SAPO Awards; Festival of the Creativity Club of Portugal; Five Star Award (awarded in three categories); Consumer Choice Award (with the MEO 5G and MEO Care services); Recommended Brand Award from the Complaint Portal (for the third consecutive year); Top Ranking Performers Awards 2023 (awarded for the best customer service); among others.

Inserted in one of the most dynamic and competitive sectors of activity today, and with the greatest impact on the daily lives of the Portuguese, MEO strives to innovate and differentiate in the way it looks at the products and services it puts at the service of its customers. Aware of the relevance of its actions and social impact, and assuming its responsibility towards the community, MEO has been launching differentiating and inspiring campaigns, with important messages that raise awareness among the Portuguese about issues that are fracturing society, living up to the brand's signature: "Humanize yourself".

And it is as a brand with causes that are relevant to society that MEO is the only Portuguese brand to be recognized and awarded two consecutive gold lions and a bronze lion at the largest International Festival of Creativity that takes place every year in Cannes - the Lions Festival of Creativity.

"Breaking Sirens" and "The Forgotten Team" were campaigns with important messages that raised awareness among the Portuguese of society's fractious issues, such as human rights or environmental protection, and which made the brand's name echo in the list of big winners.

In addition to these awards, MEO also once again tops the ranking of the most relevant and reputable brands in Portugal in the Media & Telecom category, and is the most valuable brand in the national sector, according to the results of the OnStrategy study.

The awarding of these prizes is another step towards MEO's goal of becoming the Portuguese's number one brand, in terms of quality of service and technological innovation, but also through the positive impact it has on its customers and society.
