Altice Portugal presents results for the 3rd quarter of 2023

The strategy defined continues to result in an increase in the Customer Base, growth in Revenue and Operating Results, a unique diversification of the portfolio of products and services, driven by innovation, the constant reinforcement of its fixed and mobile networks and high standards of service quality.

- Revenues grew by +9.1% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2023, reaching a total of 742 million euros.

- EBITDA in the same period amounted to 281 million euros, an increase of +20.3% compared to the same period in 2022.

- In the third quarter of the year, Altice Portugal's investment amounted to 110 million euros, demonstrating its commitment to leading the technological and digital transformation in Portugal.

In the nine months of the year, Revenues grew by +11.6% and EBITDA by +13.5%, to 2,159 million euros and 781 million euros respectively, compared to the same period last year. The company's investment amounted to 341 million euros in the same period.

In the third quarter of 2023, operating performance maintained its positive trajectory, which was reflected in the continued acquisition of Customers, combined with historic levels of disconnections, which allowed the Fixed Services Base to increase by +4.7% in the last 12 months, with the Subscription Television Service Customer Base growing by +3.6%.

Altice Portugal's consumer brand, MEO, was considered the favorite by the Portuguese and was awarded the Marketeer 2023 Prize in the Telecommunications category.

Selected for its vast experience in large-scale events and unrivaled operational competence, MEO was the technological partner of World Youth Day, involving around 1.5 million pilgrims from all over the world, ensuring a technological mega-operation of excellence and processing 180 TB of traffic.

MEO revolutionized the market with the launch of the first national symmetrical 10 Gbps offer (download and upload) aimed at the consumer and business segments. This pioneering hyper-speed internet solution via optical fiber introduced a new technological reality in Portugal with access to a network with speed, reliability and stability never achieved before.

According to data published by ANACOM, MEO was once again the operator with the lowest rate of complaints per thousand customers, as a result of Altice Portugal's strong commitment to excellence in the Quality of Service provided to its customers.

Revenues in the Consumer Segment amounted to 341 million euros in the third quarter of 2023, a year-on-year increase of +3.4%, boosted by the growth in the customer base and the increase in ARPU. The Unique Customer base continued to expand and increased by +1.1% compared to the same period in the previous year, +18 thousand net additions in 12 months, totaling 1.7 million.

Revenues from the Business Services Segment stood at 401 million euros this quarter, representing a year-on-year increase of +14.4%, driven by the convergence of Telco and non-Telco services in the Customer Base, the growth of new business lines that respond to trends in the market and the increase in the number of customers.

The business of designing, building and operating and maintaining a fiber optic network in Germany under the leadership of Geodesia Internacional, an Altice company, also contributed to the positive performance of the Business Services Segment.

EBITDA increased by +20.3% compared to the third quarter of 2022 to 281 million euros, leveraged on the sustained growth of the Customer Base, the increase in ARPU, the diversification of the portfolio and the continued discipline of operating costs.

Investment amounted to 110 million euros, reaffirming the continued commitment to infrastructure transformation, high standards of service quality, innovation and investment in Portugal.

Altice Portugal leads the way in terms of technological innovation and an increasingly digital customer experience, with 95.6% coverage of the Portuguese population served by 5G and 6.3 million homes and businesses served by optical fiber throughout the country.
