With the aim of stimulating and rewarding solutions that drive the digital transformation of companies and organizations and that are leveraged by the new generation of mobile networks, the 5G Challenge opens applications today for an edition that promises to be innovative. This year there's something new: national and international companies and startups can apply.
The main objective of the challenge to the business ecosystem is to present disruptive 5G solutions, powered by technologies such as augmented and virtual reality, artificial intelligence, big data, the cloud or the Internet of Things (IoT) which, together with the advantages of 5G, pave the way for the future of companies.
The projects in the competition can address solutions for various sectors such as Industry, Health, Education, City Management, Energy Efficiency, Mobility and Logistics, Environment and Circular Economy, and Retail and Services.
Applications are open until April 30 on the Altice Empresas website. The selected companies will be invited to take part in a kick-off event and from that date will have the opportunity to schedule work sessions to test or evolve their 5G solutions with Altice professionals at Altice's golabs.5G laboratory in Lisbon or at Altice Labs' facilities in Aveiro, taking part in Altice Labs' "NextGen Mobility" test bed, which is part of the National Test Beds Network.
The final of the 5G Challenge will take place on September 19th.
On that day, the three winners of this first edition of the 5G Challenge will be chosen.
The three winners of the 1st edition of the 5G Challenge, which will be announced on September 19, will have access to the Web Summit 2023 startup program, will see their companies and solutions promoted in various Altice Empresas media and will have the chance to join the Altice Empresas Products and Services portfolio.
