SkyShowtime is the result of a joint venture between Comcast and Paramount Global and brings together the content of iconic production companies Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon, DreamWorks Animation, Paramount+, SHOWTIME®, Sky Studios and Peacock.
Its arrival on MEO at the end of June was the result of this European streaming service's first Multichannel Video Programming Distribution (MVPD) agreement in the Portuguese market. Since then, MEO customers have had access to the SkyShowtime entertainment catalog, with highlights such as "Star Trek - Strange New Worlds", "Yellowstone" and the prequels to this series, "Rabbit Hole", "Jurassic World: Dominion", "Minions: The Rise of Gru", "Top Gun: Maverick", "Babylon" and "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish". The latter will be available from July 23rd.
The exclusive 1-month SkyShowtime offer will be available between July 12 and August 31 at meo.pt, by calling 16 200 or at a MEO store. SkyShowtime is available on MEO Android TV and Apple TV, as well as through the devices supported by the service.
At the end of the offer period, the monthly fee for the SkyShowtime service will be €4.99/month. For MEO customers' convenience, the SkyShowtime monthly fee will be included in the MEO bill.
All the offers that MEO has been announcing as part of its anniversary campaign are a way of repaying the loyalty of its customers. Since its launch on the market in 2008, the brand has taken charge of the television of the future and continues to renew this commitment. And the future necessarily involves this diversification, not only of content but also of the way we watch television, which is now more interactive and immersive.
On the occasion of its 15th anniversary, MEO launched a multiplatform campaign in which it revived the "communiqué to the nation" made in 2008 by the comedy group Gato Fedorento. This time the protagonists are four young people, born in the same year as MEO, who come to tell the Portuguese that "If there's this, if there's that and if there's everything, there's MEO!". This is also the message that the brand wants to convey by offering 1 month's free access to SkyShowtime, a platform that has now been added to MEO's service.
