With weekly episodes every Thursday, the new season will once again feature movie suggestions from Luís Salvado, journalist and programming director of the Cinemundo channel, and will continue to highlight related topics such as cinema, series, films and comics.
The program will also feature guest interviews. In the premiere episode, the conversation will be with director João Gonzalez and producer Bruno Caetano, responsible for "Ice Merchants", the animated short film that gave Portugal its first Oscar-nominated film and which is supported by MEO.
In this second edition, viewers will also be able to actively participate in the program by sending in their opinion on a current movie, game or series. The best videos will be shown in the new "VoxPopcorner" space.
The second season also brings many new features:
- The "Viral Corner" section, which will highlight viral trends on social networks created by films and series.
- The "Tell me what you've been watching" segment will invite public figures to talk about the movies, series or games that have marked them in recent times. In the first episode, actor Joaquim de Almeida will share his suggestions with the public.
- The "Poptugal" section, which will highlight the stories of Portuguese people who have made significant contributions to the pop culture industry.
- "Guilty Pleasures", in which well-known names in culture will share which movie, book or series they love and have never had the courage to share with their fans and followers.
The new episodes of "Popcorner" can be seen on
SAPO Mag, on the Cinemundo channel and on the Comic Con Portugal EPOPCULTURE News website.
