In line with the pioneering spirit and innovation that has characterized MEO's history, the inauguration of this new space, accessible to all consumers, marks a new era in the electronic communications sector. MEO is the first operator in Portugal to embark on this technological journey, which aims to respond to two needs: the experimental and the human, providing new experiences and generating new virtual relationships for all consumers.
Any user can access MEO's metaverse, developed on the Spatial platform in partnership with the Portuguese innovation agency Instinct, from a computer, tablet or smartphone. The connection is made via the web page meo.pt/metaverso. In addition, users with virtual reality equipment will also be able to access this space in an even more immersive way.
Upon entering the MEO metaverse, the user can create their own avatar, using a photo or a configurator, with the possibility of choosing the details of hair, eyes, mouth, skin tone, among others). The starting point is a central square, which throughout the experience will give access to various spaces, such as a MEO pop-up store, acting as a customer service point; an amphitheater, for various initiatives and meetings; home MEO, a virtual showroom with the brand's products and services, consisting of a living room, decorated with works of art by João Noutel, belonging to the Altice Foundation, a kitchen, a laundry room and three bedrooms. Also inside home MEO, you can see some paintings on display, created with artificial intelligence, with a strong connection to the brand's five senses: Feel, Hear, See, Taste and Inspire.

The launch of the new MEO space in the metaverse took place as part of the inauguration of the new MEO store, located in the Altice Portugal headquarters building in Picoas. The new MEO space in Picoas, with 280m², is part of Altice Portugal's commitment to improving the experience of all its customers by modernizing its network of physical stores. MEO's latest own store has no service desks separating those who attend from those who are attended to, thus promoting a closer and more emotional service, aimed at adapting each customer's experience to their consumption patterns and way of life.
Characterized by an eminently technological component, the new store includes state-of-the-art digital media for the dissemination and promotion of MEO's communication campaigns, in line with the most advanced communication trends in the telecommunications sector at international level.
In line with the brand's strategy and keeping abreast of market trends, MEO is the first operator to equip its new MEO store in Picoas with a modern retail metrics system, which makes it possible to measure the attractiveness of the different equipment in the store. Alongside this innovative technology, which aims to anticipate needs, improve service quality and the customer or visitor experience, MEO is also introducing its new exclusive partner, the Danish company Bang & Olufsen, one of the world's greatest icons in design, technology and quality in the audio and video segment.
