MEO launches 5 new services aimed at the needs of Portuguese families

MEO Care MEO launches 5 new services aimed at the needs of Portuguese families "Fulfilling its commitment and strategy of diversifying its portfolio, focusing on people and for people, MEO is once again innovating and surprising the sector with the launch of new services aimed at the Portuguese and their families," announced Ana Figueiredo, CEO of Altice Portugal, at the MEO Care presentation event.

Having contributed to profoundly changing the way people watch television in Portugal, MEO is once again transforming the paradigm of the sector, taking another significant step forward in terms of proximity to the Portuguese and relevance in their daily lives, with the presentation to the market of a package of services clearly aimed at the comfort and well-being of Portuguese families. Just as it has been innovating the way the Portuguese watch television for more than a decade, MEO wanted to go further, challenging itself once again to reinforce its natural presence in the daily lives of families, promising, through MEO Care, to respond to the concerns and needs of families by providing a set of solutions, leveraged in five major categories: home, Pets, Health, Seniors and Technology.

Five monthly services will be available: home, Animals, Health, Seniors and Technology which include benefits, discounts and plafonds, with the convenience of being paid for on the MEO bill. Customers will also have access to Personal Assistant services (reservations, health, lifestyle, utilities and culture) and one-call Technological Support (IT support, support in setting up technological accessories, online security, data recovery support).

Customers can subscribe to these new services available from today by calling 800 200 400, via the meo.pt website or through the MEO store network.

With the humanization of technology as one of the brand's main strategic pillars, through MEO Care, MEO assumes itself as the brand of home and the family, highlighting some of its main attributes:

- A wide range of solutions provided by specialists.

- Available throughout the country - mainland Portugal and the islands.

- Solutions tailored to the customer - from themed monthly services, to the possibility of requesting services on a piecemeal basis or accessing on-call support.

- Membership and use without a waiting period.

Today, MEO is also presenting a set of efficiency, comfort and remote automation solutions in the form of three devices: a plug-in socket, which can be controlled remotely and manage the energy consumption of home; plug-in light bulbs that bring the environment of home to life by managing the intensity and tone of the light, and a video camera for monitoring the rooms of home selected by the customer. All managed at the click of a button via the MEO Home app on your smartphone.

After opening doors to "another life" in 2013, MEO is maintaining its strategy of commitment to improving the living conditions of families, whether through its role as a cause brand or through the development of innovative products and services. From ticketing to financial services, from fashion to outsourcing, from the sale of (equipment) insurance to energy, Altice Portugal and its brands have constantly sought to reinvent themselves, positioning themselves in different areas and businesses, a fact that has dictated the company's strategic focus in recent years.

For João Epifânio, Chief Sales Officer B2C at Altice Portugal, "Over the last decade MEO has been setting the pace for the sector, the present and the future, signaling trends and movements. We have been creating new ways of watching television, new content, new realities. At a time when the world gave us a new briefing, we managed to go further, we invested, we innovated and the market rewarded us with absolute leadership. Today the MEO brand doesn't "just" deliver telecommunications and entertainment, but a wide range of services to home and outside home with the aim of fulfilling its purpose of "Connecting people to life", in other words, being ever closer to our customers and making life easier for Portuguese families."

Multi-media campaign

Altice Portugal's main brand in the consumer segment is taking a firm step towards materializing its strategy of expanding and differentiating its portfolio with the launch of a mass media communication campaign to raise awareness of MEO Care. The medicine that has run out, the laptop that has broken down, the dog that needs a bath, the tap that won't stop dripping - life brings us enough worries. MEO Care, with solutions in 5 categories - Animals, Health, Seniors, home and Technology - is here so that the Portuguese don't worry too much about too little. Categories that will put MEO in unnatural but very necessary situations.

The campaign takes on the initial strangeness that the Portuguese are sure to feel. And it's based on a hook from a popular customer service expression. "You wanted it, don't you?" Equally unusual is the appearance of Inês Castel-Branco, as the face of the brand, transforming astonishment into stopping power with a fresh and different tone. The campaign shows the human side of the customer (with typical moments of distress) and the human side of the brand, which is attentive and WANTS ME WELL. Under the motto "For those who care, help in everyday life", MEO's new campaign takes the form of four institutional films, one long spot and three short spots, the latter demonstrating three of the five categories of MEO Care services - Animals, Health and Seniors - highlighting the versatility and variety of its offer.

The multi-media communication campaign will run on the usual media - TV, outdoor, press and digital - and will be on air from today, April 20th.
