Altice Portugal brings technological equipment to pediatric cancer hospitals in the north and center of the country

After providing more than four hundred pieces of technological equipment and services to numerous educational, health and charitable institutions last year, Altice Portugal returned to the field last week to once again donate communication tools to several national hospitals in order to support their pediatric oncology care units.

By delivering this equipment, as part of another trip by Altice Portugal's Executive Committee to the north and center of the country, the company is ensuring that these health institutions have better conditions for carrying out their daily activities, while also enabling contact between the children and their families.

For Alexandre Fonseca, CEO of Altice Portugal, "these devices are much more than their technological purpose; they represent proximity, comfort, companionship and above all hope for these children and their families, as they make an undeniable contribution to combating isolation. The TVs and tablets that Altice Portugal is offering to these health units are a way of bringing children and their families closer together and encouraging contact with technology, fostering digital literacy. Altice Portugal is once again putting technology at the service of society, because that's the only way it makes sense."

With this support, the Portuguese Oncology Institutes will also have new tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their processes, and will be able to take advantage of a range of new possibilities, including remote contact with users, suppliers, partners and other institutions, collaborative work to study clinical cases, as well as making the most of resources and information between institutions.

Altice Portugal thus strengthens its position as a driving force behind the country's social development, once again placing itself at the side of healthcare in Portugal and guaranteeing the conditions for Portuguese hospitals and healthcare units to continue the meritorious work they have been doing, particularly after the great challenge posed to them by the pandemic context.
