The 82nd edition of the Santander Tour of Portugal once again has the support of Altice Portugal throughout the 10 stages, through a technological mega-operation. All the connectivity needed for the competition's logistics is provided by Altice Portugal, namely internet access, mobile and fixed communications and television signal distribution at the various race venues.
In numbers, this partnership translates into more than 25 km of state-of-the-art fiber optics, nearly two hundred satellite accesses, around 20 television points, 120 on-site technicians and more than a dozen Altice Portugal support vehicles, elements that are constantly and continuously present at all stages of the race.
Support for national sport is already an integral part of Altice Portugal's DNA, with a history of supporting sports such as soccer, tennis, surfing, among many others, as well as national clubs and other sports institutions. Considered one of the oldest stage races in the world, the Volta a Portugal is one of the most important vehicles for local promotion. Between August 4th and 15th, more than 1565 kilometers will be covered, from the north to the south of the country. The premier event in Portuguese cycling will finish in Viseu after 10 stages.
